End Of The Line

To the CnR Community,

After 18 incredible years, the time has come for us to bring the CrazyBob’s Cops and Robbers journey to an end. Watching this community grow, seeing the friendships and memories that formed here—many of which extended beyond the server itself—has been nothing short of amazing.
CnR has always been more than just a server. It’s been a place where people made friends (and enemies), laughed (and raged), and built gangs with players from around the world. These memories will live on forever.

The server was first started in 2006, the idea was to start a small cops and robbers game server in GTA. It should have shut down in a couple of months, but instead people kept joining and the server grew into one of the most popular and iconic servers in GTA:SA MP.
I want to thank the admins for all the work they have done taking care of the server and making sure players had a fair experience. You guys kept CnR running each and every day. I would also like to thank the players that have kept the server active for all these years, without you there would have been no CnR.

With that, I would like to announce that the server will be closing at the end of the year. To mark the end of an era, the Christmas update is out so that players can experience the CnR Christmas memories one last time.

I hope that the amazing experiences and memories we made here will live on forever. I hope we never forget the place it was - from a ridiculously overpopulated jail filled with diseased prisoners to a random clown in the woods. A place where everyone would get mad at you for robbing their money from the bank, or having a birthday. We hung out at city hall trading stocks, betting on horses or just casually selling items, guns and ammunition. We helped our friends break out of jail, we bribed cops, we accepted bribes, we arrested people then accepted their bribes. We fought in Bayside gang wars, we dmed and rdmed or random rdmed for no reason, while some of us cop tanked, fished and trucked. We had party buses, unfortunately most got either exploded from farts or driven off the top of Mt. Chiliad. We slapped people with fish, our pets got old or sold, we paid taxes, and we got life insurance because we couldn’t financially recover from dying without it. Some of us got kicked, and some got banned; most kept coming back. Throughout the years, many of us have met people here that we will know for the rest of our lives.

I want to say how incredible this journey has been. I can’t thank you all enough for being part of this amazing community. You’ve made CnR into something truly special, and it’s been an honor to have shared this experience with all of you.

CrazyBob's Cops and Robber 2006 - 2024

15 Years: The Anniversary!

Thanks to everyone who attended our first two events. It's been great to see so many old faces as well as recent regulars getting together.

This is the big one! The 27th of May marks the 15th Anniversary of the first full release of CnR on SA:MP, Beta 1.0. The days of race-only gaming on MTA were now over, and even for those who had participated in the closed beta, there was a massive surprise feature: the brand new playable city of Las Venturas! (We switched between SF and LV, when we felt like it...)

Over the coming months, more and more features would be added, like registration and saved lives, more skills, reworked game mechanics, and the final playable city, Los Santos.
Development continued at pace throughout the year and, at the end of 2006, culminated in the release of the completely redeveloped CnR C2 – the game that still exists today.

We'll be hosting the big birthday bash on Saturday, 29th May at around 18:00 UTC, depending on city changes. Click here for local time zone conversions.

Invite your friends. It'll be carnage.

15 Years: April event

Thanks to all of you who joined us for our first anniversary event! It was awesome to see so many of you in-game.

The next instalment in the anniversary event series will take place on Saturday, 17th April at 22:20 UTC in Server 1. For the local time in your time zone, click here.

Back in April 2006, the MTA server was growing in popularity, and you could find us here at crazybobs.net for the first time – wasn't she a beauty?
Meanwhile, the SA:MP team were running public beta tests, and it's still another few weeks before the first full SA:MP release.

Come and join us for more admin-led carnage. Highlights this time will include whole-server police chases, more of Pacman's incredible custom race circuits, and the unholy return of the partybus...

Looking forward to seeing you all again!

15 Years: let the party commence!

Hi folks,

As we celebrate 15 years (!) of Cops & Robbers in SA:MP this year, we're going to be hosting a few admin-led events to get everyone together over the coming weeks and months.

To kick things off, we'll be having a party on Saturday, 6th March at 16:20 UTC in Server 1, running for the entire game week. For the local time in your time zone, see here.

This first event will have a racing theme to it. Back in March 2006, a couple of months prior to the release of Cops & Robbers Beta 1.0 on SA:MP, you could find us speeding around San Andreas in the original MTA:SA server. Expect some pedal-to-the-metal escapades, old-school car chases, high-stakes racing, and a healthy dose of admin abuse.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Halloween Update

Happy Halloween everyone! Once again it's time for Pumpkins and Trick or Treating, and so we have released the annual Halloween Update. Put on your best costume and have your holy cross ready, because the Zombie invasion has arrived!

For those of you who are new to the CnR Halloween Update, here's a brief list of the special features you will find on the servers during the holiday event: You can Trick or Treat by visiting any owned house, and house owners can decide what they give out to trick or treaters. Players can become possessed by demons, which can be spread to other players by using the /possess command, or get rid of by visiting any church. There are also pumpkins hidden at random places across the city which you can find to receive a gift. As usual with CnR holiday events, you can use the /givegift command to give gifts to other players, and the bots and admins will also be giving out gifts.

We've also added some special pets that you can only receive through gifts, and special holiday food items that can only be purchased from stores during the Halloween event. These food items can still be sold by vendor skills after the holiday event, so be sure to stock up now. We hope you enjoy this years Halloween Update, have fun and beware of witches hiding in the woods!
