Blackjack, also known as twenty-one, is a very common casino game. Blackjack is a card game played against the dealer. You must beat the dealers hand, without going over 21, or let the dealer go over 21.
An Ace is worth 11 or 1, face cards (jack, queen, king) are worth 10, and all other cards are worth their value.
You are intially dealt two cards, as is the dealer.
If you get 21 on your first two cards (Ace and 10/jack/queen/king), this is called a Blackjack. Unless the dealer also has a Blackjack, you will win 2x your bet amount.
Anything below 21 will give you the option to Hit or Stand.
Hit: Request another card. If this card makes you go over 21, you are "Bust", and you lose.
Stand: Keep the cards you have and let the dealer play.
If the value of your two first cards is over 11, you will also have a third option: Double Down
Double: Double your bet and receive only one more card. You will only receive one more card, then the dealer will play.
If your two first cards have the same rank, you will also have the option to Split
Split: Split your two first cards into two seperate hands (and thus double your bet). You will then play each hand individually, and each hand must beat the dealers.
Wins other than Blackjacks pay 1x your bet.
Dealer must hit on 16 or less, and must stand at 17.
