To the CnR Community,
After 18 incredible years, the time has come for us to bring the CrazyBob’s Cops and Robbers journey to an end. Watching this community grow, seeing the friendships and memories that formed here—many of which extended beyond the server itself—has been nothing short of amazing.
CnR has always been more than just a server. It’s been a place where people made friends (and enemies), laughed (and raged), and built gangs with players from around the world. These memories will live on forever.
The server was first started in 2006, the idea was to start a small cops and robbers game server in GTA. It should have shut down in a couple of months, but instead people kept joining and the server grew into one of the most popular and iconic servers in GTA:SA MP.
I want to thank the admins for all the work they have done taking care of the server and making sure players had a fair experience. You guys kept CnR running each and every day. I would also like to thank the players that have kept the server active for all these years, without you there would have been no CnR.
With that, I would like to announce that the server will be closing at the end of the year. To mark the end of an era, the Christmas update is out so that players can experience the CnR Christmas memories one last time.
I hope that the amazing experiences and memories we made here will live on forever. I hope we never forget the place it was - from a ridiculously overpopulated jail filled with diseased prisoners to a random clown in the woods. A place where everyone would get mad at you for robbing their money from the bank, or having a birthday. We hung out at city hall trading stocks, betting on horses or just casually selling items, guns and ammunition. We helped our friends break out of jail, we bribed cops, we accepted bribes, we arrested people then accepted their bribes. We fought in Bayside gang wars, we dmed and rdmed or random rdmed for no reason, while some of us cop tanked, fished and trucked. We had party buses, unfortunately most got either exploded from farts or driven off the top of Mt. Chiliad. We slapped people with fish, our pets got old or sold, we paid taxes, and we got life insurance because we couldn’t financially recover from dying without it. Some of us got kicked, and some got banned; most kept coming back. Throughout the years, many of us have met people here that we will know for the rest of our lives.
I want to say how incredible this journey has been. I can’t thank you all enough for being part of this amazing community. You’ve made CnR into something truly special, and it’s been an honor to have shared this experience with all of you.
